Merry Christmas! I liked the article. I also read some of the comments: quite a variation. My two favorite were,”Just another BS thought exercise this time mixed with a “blame game” component,” and “I wish I could get a grant to ’study’ this kind of shit.” It boils down to motivation and interest. If someone (male or female) has an interest in a field of study they will do whatever it takes to learn about that field and become a part of it. That’s what makes teaching so hard and challenging; motivating our students. See you next semester.
