I have finally gone through the involved process of backing up and upgrading this WordPress installation. Having done that, I have changed to a new theme. Now I’m working on customizing it and will soon start adding material for my fall classes.
I’m doing all of this over a connection that runs about the speed of an old dial-up. Maybe 14.4 kb/s. On the other hand, I get to enjoy being here:
This is Cathedral Ledge. It has nothing to do with the lousy connection, but the view is some compensation.
While working on this, I am also trying to figure out how to adjust my syllabi to account for the mandatory furloughs.
This will probably mean both fewer class meetings and fewer assignments across the three regular courses and the one practicum I’m teaching. More on that later.
Hmmmn. The profile pic plug-in seems not to be working. I contacted the author; hopefully the fix isn’t too hard.
